On Monday evening (September 16), around 7.40, I walked with a friend from Deep Sea Delights along the riverside park to go home using the walkway than runs up alongside Centrelink.

Right in front of our very eyes was a blood red moon in full view shining down on the dark river. I didn't have a camera nor tripod. All I had was my mobile phone - a Samsung 5G.
The lights on the riverbank were interfering with the shots so I had to keep moving with a bung knee that I had strapped until I reached the pontoon at end of Manning Street and from there I took the last shots which only gave me a few brief minutes as it started to disappear shrouded in cloud.
I was not aware it would have been a blood red moon. And as I could not have seen the moon from my riverside window if I and friend had not gone to Deep Sea Delights I would not have been able to take these shots.
Once again by pure fluke, I was in the right place at the right time. When I'd taken the 20 or photos, the red moon was fast disappearing as were the red beam on the river, and it was all over.
