Ride Like a Girl is the story of the Michelle Payne, the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup.
"We thought it was a great movie to use as even though it's about horses, Michelle's story is for anyone as it shows what striving and not giving up on a dream can achieve," Wingham Pony Club chief instructor, Sue Small said.
Both clubs were looking for a way to raise funds for their clubs to provide great equipment and opportunities for the members, who are primarily children and young adults under 25 years of age.
Tickets are $20 adults and $15 children, with tickets including wine, cheese and something for the kids.
To further assist raise funds, there will be lucky door prizes and a raffle is being held on the night.
Prizes for the raffle were donated by Brows By Bridie, Ashley Road Boutique, Ranvet, More Than Gifts and two autographed copies of Michelle Payne's book Life As I Know It, with more prizes coming.
Proceeds from this raffle are being donated to a Abbie Sweeper, a 10-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a riding accident at a pony club competition day. Abbie has a very long journey ahead of her and every little bit raised helps pay for her ongoing medical costs.
Tickets can be purchased by contacting Sue Small through the Wingham Pony Club Facebook page or Rebecca through the Wallamba Pony Club page, the Wingham and Wallamba Pony Clubs premiere fundraiser page, or by calling 0475 433 179.
"It will be an awesome night and everyone is invited," Sue said.
