While nominations closed on Wednesday, Group Three chief executive Mal Drury said he is still waiting on word from the Macleay Valley club.
So far Forster-Tuncurry and Old Bar have both nominated two sides with others received from Wingham, Kendall, Beechwood, Long Flat, Lower Macleay and South West Rocks.
"I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get a side from Taree City, but apparently a lot of their players are in the Old Bar teams,'' Mr Drury said.

While Wauchope will host the first round Mr Drury said matches will be played all the venues where possible.
"We have a problem with Long Flat and Beechwood because the grounds there are needed for cricket,'' he said.
He said it is envisaged to start the matches at 3pm and all teams will get two games on the one day. At this stage it is planned to end the nines on November 9.
