A choir of year three and four students from Taree West Public School performed the song We Are Australian in Auslan sign language as part of a two-day Hearing Expo held at Taree Central by the Taree Quota Club.

The expo was held to to bring awareness of what was available in the area to assist people who are hearing impaired.
Free hearing tests were available for adults and there was plenty of information available from the Manning Hearing Centres and Hear and Say Centres, Brisbane.
Sydney Cochlear Implant Centre also visited to talk about Cochlear Implants and BAHA.
