TAREE High School's boy's hockey team joined the girls in the State Combined High Schools (CHS) finals with a 6-0 thrashing of Moss Vale at Newcastle today (Friday).

Both teams will now head to the State playoffs at Moorebank on September 18 and 19.
This is the second year both sides have qualified for the last eight in the State. In 2018 Taree High girls won won the CHS championship, to repeat their effort from 2017.
Taree boys were semi-finalists last year.
The boys were in control of the clash against Moss Vale virtually from the opening whistle.
Taree girls qualified for the finals when thrashing Orange 8-1 in freezing conditions at Orange earlier this month.
Jordan Hardy coaches the girls, with Kerrie Davy in charge of the boys team.
