Taree's Trent Jennison of Valley Industries and Colin Steber from Steber International, along with Nicole McMullen of Village Projects at Tuncurry, are finalists in the outstanding business leaders category.
Valley Industries is a finalist in the excellence in social enterprise and Kinetic Medicine, which has clinics in Taree, Wingham and Forster as well as servicing Gloucester and Harrington at the local medical centre, is a finalist in excellence in small business category.
Wallamba Downs Weddings and Events, based at Nabiac, is a finalists in the 'start up superstar' category.
Anglican Care is a finalist in two categories, outstanding employer of choice and excellence in sustainability. Anglican Care operates Storm Village and Bishop Tyrrell Place retirement developments, as well as Bulahdelah's Alum View retirement village, and is building an aged care complex at Gloucester.
Now in its seventh year, the awards recognise excellence in business, leadership, entrepreneurship, sustainability, innovation, business growth and employment practices across the area from Forster Tuncurry to Woolgoolga.
The awards include winners from MidCoast Business Awards, Greater Port Macquarie Business Awards, Macleay Valley Business Awards, and the Coffs Harbour Chamber Sunnys Business Awards.
Winners will be announced at the Mid North Coast gala evening on Friday, September 13 at Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges.
"This year's finalists represent a fantastic cross section of businesses from right across the Mid North Coast," Mid North Coast NSW Business Chamber regional manager, Kellon Beard, said.
"It's been a tough year for many businesses due to the ongoing drought, so it will be great to celebrate and highlight the excellence of our local business community."
Winners of the 2019 Mid North Coast Regional Business Awards will represent the Mid North Coast region at NSW Business Chamber's State Business Awards, to be held on Friday, November 22 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.
