They will be representing the Lansdowne School in Forster at the next round of the Premier's Spelling Bee.
All students tried very hard in their school round of the spelling bee and it was great to see them enjoying the challenge of spelling.
Lansdowne school assembly awards have been presented to the following students.
Class K/1/2: Sahara Bell was presented with the Student of the Week award. She received this award for her Improvement in working independently. Class awards were received by Ebony Bain for a great start to Term 3 and Lucius Auld for settling back into classroom routine. The artist award was given to Olivia Steed for her beautiful "Owl".
Class 3/4/5/6: Student of the Week award was presented to Angel-Lee West. Angel received her award for being a kind and considerate class member. Class awards were received by Lily Gabriel as a welcome to Lansdowne Public School and Ivy McHutchison for her perseverance in maths tasks.
Students art display
The Lansdowne School will be having an art display at the next Lansdowne Community Hall Market which will be held on Saturday, August 31.
The art display will assist with their fundraising efforts. Student art will be on sale for $3.
Please come along see the students' fantastic artwork. We have some very talented young artist in our community.
Fishing club family outing
The Lansdowne Fishing club will be having a family outing on Sunday, August 26 at Wingham Brush Reserve.
The activities will commence at 9.30am. Those attending are to have their names on the fishing club board at the Lansdowne Bowling and Recreation Club.
Hall managers AGM
The Lansdowne Community Hall Managers held their annual general meeting on Monday evening.
The new president is Margaret Haddon.
Valerie Evenden was voted in as vice president and Daniel Gaul was returned as a vice president.
Rhonda Hardes was returned as secretary and Ron Sawyer was returned as the treasurer.
