The video coincides with National Family History Month and an upcoming series of workshops to help locals research their unique family history.
The first workshop, presented by MidCoast Stories, looks at Taree Council rate books from 1885 to 1950. People will be able to trace property ownership, date building construction and track down family history such as occupations and addresses.
This workshop will take place on Thursday, August 15 from 2pm to 3.30pm at Taree Library. The second workshop, presented by the Manning Wallamba Family History Society, will be about the stories behind old family photos.
Participants are encouraged to bring along a family photo and share their family story with the group from 1.30pm to 3pm on Tuesday, August 20. Workshops are free, but bookings are essential.
Be sure to visit our website every Wednesday at 3pm for the latest video in the series.
