Kerr is battling a hamstring problem.
"Nugget's a very pivotal player for us, so we'll give him until Sunday morning if we have to,'' Wingham co-coach Brad Staff said.
"He's getting physio every day but he's still only about 50/50.''
Staff said if Kerr is ruled out Ryan Morris will move from fullback to hooker. The Tigers will also have two players, second rower Michael Rees and utility back Corey Wheeler required for first grade duty on Saturday.
The Tigers finished minor premiers and lost just one game in the season-proper - the last round fixture to Port Macquarie.
"I'm not one for making excuses, but we had a heap of injuries in first grade and reserve grade that day,'' Staff said.
"Still the side we had out there should have got the job done.''
Staff added the defeat mightn't be a bad thing.
"It probably takes the pressure off, it's not always easy being undefeated,'' he explained.
Staff said the Tigers were sharp at training this week and he's added an extra session on Saturday morning. There's plenty of experience in the Wingham lineup, led by Glenn O'Davis, a gain for the club this year.
"Glenn's been named at lock, but he'll float around the field, probably playing more in the halves,'' he said.
"He's played for the Knights and the London Broncos and he has some silky skills.''
