James Neal from Oxley Island, and a farm at Comboyne are the only two winners to come from NSW in the top 100.
The awards are based on bulk milk cell count (BMCC) - the lower the count, the better quality the milk.
"It's a measure that tells you how much mastitis you've got in your cows," James explained. "If you're low, you don't have much mastitis in your herd. It's basically like measuring antibodies."
This is the fifth consecutive time the Neal dairy farm has been named in the top 100.
For James, upskilling his farm team to prevent mastitis and achieve a low cell count is a crucial part of maintaining high milk quality.
Recognising the importance of staff training, James ensures his farm stays up-to-date with the latest information and encourages his staff to attend Dairy Australia's training programs.
"It's great to be recognised for supplying high quality milk to consumers year after year," James said.
The milk from the Oxley Island dairy farm is sent to supplier Norco, and because of it's high quality, it has been selected by Norco to be exported to key export markets such as China, where an emphasis is placed on premium dairy products and where quality is essential to extend shelf life.
