This follows the annual challenge day against Taree, played this year at Omaru Park.
Old Bar retained the shield 3-2. This is based on the results of all the competitive matches, culminating in the Southern League men's senior match. Here the Barbarians clinched the shield with a 7-0 victory.
The challenge is played in memory of Bryson Challacombe, who lost his fight against a rare form of cancer in 2012. Bryson played with both clubs. The shield has been contested every since since 2013, initially when Taree and Old Bar both fielded teams in the Football Mid North Coast Premier League.
"I think Old Bar's won the shield every year since they dropped out of the premier league,'' Taree president Ben Sedlen said.
"That might be the answer.''
The day also raised money for the Redkite organisation. Funds were still being tallied at the time of going to press.
