They have flattened out the beaches and destroyed any decent formations sheltering fish, making life difficult for anglers.
There have been no reports of catches from any beaches in the area.
The river has been different with bream, luderick and kingfish caught from the river wall.
Up-river above Taree reports indicate a few nice mulloway have been taken.
The mulloway are moving up-river because the water is nice an salty. This is caused by very little fresh water coming down the Manning in recent times.
The seas will be up for the next couple of days. Those boats able to handle the conditions were able to catch snapper to 5kgs from the northern grounds.
