Karen Hutchinson from the Stroud Brickthrowing Association said the competition was growing every year.
"It was awesome. This was our 59th year, and we are estimating that we had about 3000 people there," she said.
"All the stallholders went home very happy, and some have even booked in already for next year, which will be the 60th of the competition starting."
The novelty sport started in 1960 when the brickmaking cities of Stroud in England and Stroud in the United States formed the competition.
Ms Hutchinson added organisers were thrilled with the response from the community to the annual event.
"We are really pleased. It was really successful," she said.
"We had a circus and it was booked out every session."
The showground was bustling with market and food stalls, activities and entertainment.
