The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked on a medical retrieval to Manning Hospital at Taree on Saturday morning, July 13 to transfer a 40 year old woman to Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital for an urgent organ transplant.
No further details are available.
Shortly after midday the same day, the rescue helicopter was tasked on a primary mission to The Island motocross track at Nerong, south of Bulahdelah. A 23 year old man, who had suffered back and rib injuries in an accident off his bike, was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Bone located at Port Macquarie
Police are conducting inquiries into a bone located on a beach at Port Macquarie on Sunday, July 14.
The small bone, believed to be human, was discovered by passers-by in the vicinity of Flynn's Beach on Sunday afternoon.
Police say it will be subject to forensic examination, with any results being compared with missing person records.
