FOOTBALL Mid North Coast's under 13 National Premier League side had a training session with Newcastle Jets coach Ernie Merrick at the Zone Field at Taree this week.

Merrick conducted an hour long session with the squad.
"The Jets have a close association with Football Mid North Coast and are always willing to help us out,'' a spokesman explained.
"Ernie sent us a text and asked if we wanted him to come up for a training session. Naturally we said yes.''
The under 13s are currently coming fifth on the ladder from 13 teams. They play Valentine in Newcastle this weekend.
"There are two of three players here who would be capable of playing in the A-League,'' Merrick said.
He will organise for the team to attend a Newcastle Jets A-League match later this year.
