Ingenia Gardens Taree residents learned about Australian indigenous art, history and culture of the people who are indigenous to the Taree area.
Village manager Amanda Howton said residents were always delighted to welcome Uncle Mick Saunders to the community.
"The residents have been looking forward to this event for weeks - they are always very eager to learn more about our local Indigenous culture here in Taree and try out the traditional Biripi arts and crafts," Ms Howton said.
"Uncle Mick is the son-in-law of one of our residents here, so he is a regular in the community - often visiting for Christmas lunches and other celebrations throughout the year.
"NAIDOC Week is a great opportunity for us to participate in activities where we can learn something new, educating ourselves about our local Indigenous community."
