The under 14s used the Super Hero as the theme for the trip. Last year it was the 1970s musical, Grease.
So out they paraded, The Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Wonder Woman and appropriately enough, given the wet conditions, Aqua Man et al before the teams headed to the bus to play in the three day championships at Penrith and Baulkam Hills.
The players are in for a hectic three days, where they'll play 19 games.
Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead was on hand to see the teams off.
"Enjoy yourselves,'' he said.
"Have a good time and play well.''
Manning Valley Netball lost one of its greatest workers this year with the passing of former president and life member Rae Madden. Rae's daughter, Marion Campbell, also spoke to the players, saying her mum - known to the younger generation of netballers as 'Nana Rae' - would be there in spirit with the teams this weekend.
"I've been reminded of what she used to say to teams before they left - play hard but fair, be proud that you're representing Taree and always be on your best behaviour. But above all, have a great time
The teams have been training for this weekend since October. There's been a change in format this year. Previously known as the State Age Championships, the event catered for under 12s, 13s, 14s and 15s.
However, this year the 15s played separately, with Taree finishing 14th from 19 teams at the championships played over the June long weekend.
