The bus leaves at 9am and travels to the township of Gloucester, for a tour of the town centre and surrounds, including a drive out to the historic gold mine at Copeland.
Learn about the early days from when Gloucester was part of the Australian Agricultural Co original land grant. See some of the changes that have happened in the town recently.
The group will visit Karen O'Brien's Hillview Herb farm for lunch and Karen explains all the fascinating uses of the many different herbs that are grown locally.
"If you think you know Gloucester, you could be in for a surprise," says Cundle museum's Margaret Love. "This trip is not to be missed and will enlighten you even more of the town's unique history."
Future trips planned by the museum include Buttai Barn on October 24 to the "Walk a Country Mile" tribute to the music of "Slim" Dusty, in a format the looks at the origins of his songs.
