Just after 3pm on Sunday, June 30, a 14-year-old boy was transported to Manning Hospital by ambulance after a mountain bike accident in Taree.
He was stabilised by hospital staff and the helicopter critical care medical team. The boy was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
Earlier that day, a 30-year-old woman fell off a race horse while doing track work at a Rainbow Flat property.
She was subsequently trampled in the accident.
The helicopter service responded at 11.10am, where the critical care medical team and paramedics stabilised her on scene.
She was transported to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
"Precautions have been taken as she has had back injuries from a previous horse riding accident," a Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service spokesperson said.
