While watching a football game in Taree, Mr Dreyer noticed an aircraft in the sky with smoke pouring out. Heading towards Taree Showground, Mr Dreyer discovered the plane had landed on what is now known as Omaru Park.
In the video, he details how the plane and pilot avoided catastrophe.
"The plane was pretty much undamaged, the pilot popped out and everything was okay," Mr Dreyer said.
Another incident involved a plane crash at Old Bar. The plane landed across the airstrip and into the sandhill.
Being one of the first people on scene, Mr Dreyer helped drain fuel from the plane and transported it with his vehicle.
