A TOTAL of 154 competitors from 11 North Coast and two visiting clubs will contest the Swimming North Coast (southern) Short Course Championships at the Great Lakes Aquatic Centre at Forster this weekend.

In all 985 have been received. Swimming North Coast clubs competing include Bellingen, Coffs Harbour, Forster, Kempsey, Laurieton, Macksville, Port Macquarie, Sawtell, Stroud, Taree and Wauchope.
The northern championships will be held at Lismore.
Swimmers looking to get times for NSW Country, NSW State Age and Australian Open Short Course Championships.
National swimmers in action at Forster will be Bevan Smith (Taree Torpedoes), Declan Sutton (Macksville Marlins), Claire Van Kampen, Nash Wilkes (Forster), Claire and Sarah McIntosh (Laurieton), Morgan Jean (Wauchope), Pheobe Bentley, Hayley Kable and Mathilda King (Port Macquarie).

Competition will be very strong with Forster Aquatic and Port Macquarie being the dominant clubs at Forster while Trinity Lismore and Alstonville will be hard to beat in Lismore.
There is also a strong contingent of swimmers coming from Nelson Bay and Hunter clubs in the Coast and Valley area in action at Forster.
