From the Melbourne City Ballet to world renowned stand-up comedians, the MEC's July to December program will appeal to people of all ages, tastes and backgrounds.
"The diversity in the acts we've managed to secure over the next six months is something really special," said theatre manager Chris Tippett.
"We're always looking to provide a greater range of acts, that are all of the highest quality and this really does that."
The new program will kick off on Wednesday July 3 with the hugely popular Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow coming back for another year, followed closely by A Taste of Ireland with their World Champion Irish Dancers bringing their latest show direct from the West End's Lord of the Dance.
Other highlights include The Glenn Miller Orchestra, US comedy star Arj Barker, a Sydney International Piano Competition finalist and West End musical theatre lead Peter Cousens, joined by the incomparable flautist Jane Ritter.
Audiences will also be treated to improved sound quality thanks to the new state-of-the-art PA system that has been recently installed.
Tickets and/or a gift voucher can be purchased at themec.com.au, Stockland Forster Customer Information Desk, or direct from the box office, between 10am and 1pm Tuesday to Friday.
"For over 30 years we've been welcoming amazing acts to the stage here and we're delighted with the quality and range of this program and how it continues the tradition," added Chris.
