The match is Kempsey's home game and Saints had offered to play the match mid-week but the Wildcats declined, mainly due to the distance required to travel for a night game.
As a result, Football Mid North Coast (FMNC) stepped in and have rescheduled the match for Saturday July 13, unless both clubs can agree upon a different date.
The weekend was a scheduled bye round as it is in the middle of school holidays.
Saints coach Kevin Sinclair said the club would have preferred to play the match on a different weekend but accepts FMNC's decision.
"It's not our preferred date as it's a long term weekend off on the draw so we will have players missing," Sinclair said.
"We have been made to travel to catch up games down south in the past at times that didn't suit us.
"But in this case it's a date that Taree has said suits them."
The round one fixture was forced to be postponed as the Saints had an FFA Cup tie on the same day.
The clash between Taree and Saints is shaping up to be an important fixture, with Kempsey holding down fifth spot but only three competition points ahead of the Wildcats who are in seventh.
The Saints and Wildcats face off in their next Premier League match on June 15.
The Premier League has a break this Saturday for the June long weekend.
