Ken Beeton provides an in-depth look at the origins of the Royal Hotel, established by his ancestor Horace Beeton in the late 1800s.
The tour through the hotel looks at a variety of changes to the bar, offices, storage, linen room and accommodation.
Ken explains the hotel's demise in 1924 due to a fire and the rebuild at its current location.
Many yarns have been spun over the years inside the walls of the hotel, with Ken more than happy to share a few for the video.
Ken outlines the contribution Horace made to Taree as its first clerk after the town was incorporated in 1885.
