Next Monday a controlled burn is planned for Cedar Party Road, and on Tuesday, May 2, hazard reduction burns will be undertaken in Myall Lakes National Park.
These burns are being undertaken by the Rural Fire Service, Forestry, National Parks and other agencies.
These are important controlled burns which will reduce the risk to people and properties from bush fires, the RFS explains.
Ideal weather and atmospheric conditions allowed the NSW Forestry to continue its hazard reduction burns in local forests through last weekend and into this week. Nearly 1000 hectares of hazard reduction had been achieved in Bulls Ground and Lansdowne State Forest in just three days.
