The event was a collaboration between the students' year advisor and their middle school teachers.
The venue of the Student Support Centre proved to be an adequate and intimate setting for students of year seven to showcase a few of their achievements from their first term of high school at BCS.
The performances that were showcased were from the 'The Addams Family Musical' by the Year 7 dance troupe members that included Elle Newlin, Kaitlyn Smith, Mia McDonald, Taylah Krohn, Sasha Middleton and Daisy Wilton, who performed much to the crowds' delight 'Thriller'.
The band members in Year 7 treated their peers to a selection of music they performed at the Bulahdelah Community Anzac Day Memorial march. Band members are Elise Miles, Larissa Dawes, Tiras Lamborn, Matilda Matheson and Rahnee Cole.
An opportunity was made to present outstanding assessment tasks in PowerPoint and poster form.
A huge thank you to the Middle School teachers, particularly Sue Cross for the organisation. A special thank you to Wendy Parsons for enabling the instruments and music set up and facilitating the students practice time.
We are all looking forward to our next celebration of second term's up and coming successes. Wendy Parsons tells me that many students are already working on a new musical item so that they may also contribute to the next Showcase Day performances.
