Beautiful music was provided as usual by well known and popular entertainer Barney Carle with dances ranging from the Makarina, Veleta, Chicken Dance, Canadian Three Step through to the beautiful Maxina and Lucille Waltz.
The floor was in excellent condition, greatly pleasing the cohort of quality dancers who turned up for the event.
The Monte Carlo provided much hilarity as dancers were eliminated couple by couple at the fall of a card.
There was something for everyone with many also just choosing to enjoy the spectacle. The number of young people enjoying the night was most pleasing.
Dennis Watt conducted a well supported chocolate wheel with many quality prizes on offer from meat trays and wines to a hand sewn leather safari bag.
Warwick Murray organised the dancing schedule and hall president, Zandria Polson gave a fine speech of welcome, announcing the Christmas In July event and another dance probably in August.
An exceptionally fine country style supper was provided by a ready and willing group of volunteers in the newly renovated kitchen and the hugely successful night saw a large crowd on the floor for the final dance at 11.30 before departing for home under a full moon.
All proceeds from the evening will go towards hall maintenance.
