MANNING Hockey entered two sides in the NSW under 18 girl's hockey championships played at Taree.
The No 1 side went down to Nepean 1-0 in the division two final after winning the preliminary rounds the the semi-final. It is the second successive year Manning has lost the division two decider.
The No 2 squad played division three.
"They're a young and up and coming side - we had players there as young as 13,'' Manning Hockey president Debbie Monk explained.
"It was good for them to experience hockey at this level and they'll be making up our representative teams for a few years to come. They finished the championship with a 0-0 draw in their last game and that was a good effort by them.''
