Yank, Squeeze, Bow is the work of Billy Crellin, who grew up in the Manning and attended the South Australian contemporary craft and design institution, TheJamFactory, for two years.
He explores contemporary commodity culture and the power of 'The Copy' through sculptural mixed media pieces.
Also to open is the national tour of the Australian Design Centre's "Object Therapy" exhibition, which encourages us to rethink our habits of material consumption as well as the role and creative possibilities of repair in society.
The exhibitions continue until June 2. The gallery, located in Macquarie Street, Taree, is open 10am to 4pm Wednesdays to Saturdays and 1pm to 4pm on Sundays.
