A changeover and installation dinner was held at Taree West Bowling Club and chaired by Quotarian Marj Phillips.
Forty four Quotarians and partners attended along with special guests, MidCoast Council mayor David West, his wife Maureen and member for Myall Lakes Steve Bromhead.
The 72nd annual Installation dinner took place as Nancy Boyling, who has been president for the past year, gave her annual report and accepted the role of president for a second term.
The incoming Board of Quota International of Taree Inc for 2019-20 is president Nancy Boyling, vice presidents Jackie Wiseman and Judy Cluss, secretary Janenne Towers, treasurer Fiona Campbell and directors, Carolyn Erickson, Romany Low, Bev Lamotte and Lyn Stewart.
Highlights of the donations this year were to the Drought Appeal in Walgett (Red Umbrella), The McGrath Foundation (Pink Day), Taree Women's Refuge, Manning and Great Lakes Early Connections, Riding for the Disabled, a Soundfield Shield system for hearing impaired students, a defibrillator for the town, five therapy dolls for local nursing homes, funding for Cundletown school to assist with students attending the deaf camp, Daffodil Day and many more.
Quota members look forward to another successful year of service under the leadership of Nancy, beginning with a huge garage sale to be held in Wingham, on the corner of Wynter and Isabella Streets (the old Hawkins Ford site). Quota ladies will be holding a mammoth sale from Monday May 13 until Saturday May 18. On the Saturday they will include a cake sale.
