Starting with the eight years and under sections, adjudicator Ami Williamson heard from young vocalists at the very beginning of their singing journey, through to adults who are heading towards professional careers.
The vocal section wrapped up on April 27, with piano due to start on Friday, May 3.
All section programs can be found online at www.tareeeisteddfod.com.au.
For president of the Taree and District Eisteddfod Society Tim Stack, the eisteddfod has stood the test of time for good reason.
"We see a lot these days (especially on TV) about "experiments".....in this, our 52nd consecutive year, the eisteddfod is confident to say the 'eisteddfod experiment' is a wonderful success in proving the formula that practice makes perfect and the added proven formula that growth in experience through performance leads to a boost in confidence and the rewards of enjoyment through that experience."
The eisteddfod continues with piano running from May 3 to 5, dance from May 6 to 26, speech and drama from May 27 to June 1, instrumental and bands from June 3 to 7, and finish up with the choirs on June 12 and 13. Dance group weekend is May 24 to 26 and runs the Friday night, Saturday and two sessions on the Sunday.
