Located on the grounds of the iconic Bulahdelah Court House Museum, the project has been 12 months in the making and features 20 separate historical items scattered around the venue's lawns and gardens.
Among these is a small boulder of alunite - which was once mined from Bulahdelah Mountain - and bogie wheels and rail line from the old Mayers Point to Horses Creek logging railway of the 1920s.
Each item has an accompanying plaque providing detailed information about its historical significance.
Bulahdelah Historical Society president Kevin Carter believes the attraction will be well-received by locals and tourists alike.
"I think visitors will find the new walk most informative as it allows them to access local historical information and local items of historical importance outside the normal museum opening hours," he said.
"The walk is backed up with a great brochure complete with a map."
The project was made possible with a small grant from Museums and Galleries NSW.
All are welcome to attend.
