This means not only riding responsibly and considering other road users but heeding signs and conditions on the road on which he is travelling.
If the road is unfamiliar, it is wise to travel slower than the speed limit, especially on bends and curves until the road reaches a more acceptable contour allowing more speed.
During the past month, two accidents involving motorcycles have occurred on The Lakes Way. One was fatal, the other required hospitalisation and it is useless to blame the road.

Being a rider myself, I have travelled this road for more than 70 years in two and four wheeled vehicles ever before it was sealed and had no difficulty, but heeding signs and conditions. If it required a lower than speed limit pave, so be it, and it has been safe enough in my experience.
Before riders jump up and down about road conditions, travel it yourself as plenty do, slowly enough and enjoy the scenic beauty and breathe the ocean and lake breezes. It could change your mind.
