Finishing touches are being made on preparations for the 2019 Taree and District Eisteddfod, which starts at the Manning Entertainment Centre on Tuesday, April 23.
"It's all falling into place," said secretary Margaret Rogers, who adds it has been a big team effort and she has received lots of help in her role after she became unwell late last year.
Vocal is the first section, running from April 23 to 27, adjudicated by Ami Williamson (BMus (Perf), Dip. Opera, LMusA, Dip. Acting), daughter of John Williamson.
Piano runs from May 3 to 5, dance from May 6 to 26, speech and drama from May 27 to June 1, instrumental and bands from June 3 to 7, and will finish up with the choirs on June 12 and 13. Dance group weekend is May 24 to 26 and runs the Friday night, Saturday and two sessions on the Sunday.
Margaret said entries are up for some sections and down for others. "Vocal is up a little, and speech and drama is up in schools but down in private entries".
The grand concert is at 2pm on Saturday, June 15.
