The 15th annual King of the Krater Youth Day was once again a big hit with the kids. Held at Tuncurry Skate Park on Saturday, April 13, it attracted close to 200 participants and enjoyed fine weather and lots of high-flying action on the ramps. Organiser Ted Bickford, who helped run the day with Home Base Youth Services, said everything came together perfectly. "The kids had a ball," he said. "They couldn't have had a better day and they left the park beautifully clean at the end." Aside from the main attractions of the skate, BMX and scooter competitions, the day also featured a sausage sizzle, photo booth and jumping castle.
