A man died and a child was been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the Pacific Highway south of Bulahdelah Sunday afternoon, April 14.

Police said the three-car collision occurred at Nerong just after 2pm.
A male driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene and a child passenger of one of the cars was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency crews had to free another driver, who was trapped in one of the vehicles.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter airlifted a woman believed to be aged in her 50s, who reportedly had multiple injuries and was in a critical condition, to John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle.
A third driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Bulahdelah Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
