Dozens of beautiful fabric patchwork quilts were displayed throughout the heritage cottage and the often repeated comment from an appreciative audience was "truly amazing".
Many different styles and techniques were represented with one quilt featuring 17,000 small hexagons, all stitched by hand into a king- sized quilt. This quilt took three years to complete.
With so many quilts to view, the cottage café provided a popular resting spot, where visitors enjoyed coffee, cakes and light refreshments.
A beautiful machine embroidered quilt is being raffled with all proceeds going to Can Assist Manning Valley. Tickets will be available for another few weeks with the raffle due to be drawn on May 10, just in time for Mother's Day.
"This was a wonderful, happy event for Taree Craft Cottage and we thank all of our volunteers who helped to make it such a success," Pam Eyb, president of Taree Craft Centre said.
"We owe the biggest thank you to co-ordinator Kerry Wakely of Harrington. This was the fifth quilt exhibition Kerry has put together for us, and we value her expertise greatly."
