A free event for all ages, 'Writers on the Road' promises to be an entertaining evening for lovers of books and stories for those who would like to meet the authors and share their ideas on storytelling.
Five acclaimed writers and storytellers will board the magnificent Storyboard bus from April 8 to 12, including illustrator Tony Flowers, Australian Slam Poetry Finalist Anna Stewart, YA novelist Melaina Faranda and Arakwal storyteller Delta Kay as well as author and MC Zacharey Jane.
During each stop they will be sharing their penmanship with local students, readers and writers in a series of workshops, discussions and conversations.
The event will follow a classic writers festival panel style, but with a lot of questions and answers and audience interaction, including meeting with the authors after the panel and there will also be books for sale
"We are so excited to be welcoming 'Writers on the Road' to Taree Library this year," said MidCoast Council Manager Libraries, Chris Jones.
"This tour is always so well received in the regional areas and no doubt there's plenty of locals who will be looking forward to this."
The event is free and part of the Create NSW Regional Cultural Fund initiative.
Those attending are advised to arrive at 5.30pm for light refreshments before a 6pm start on Friday April 12.
Bookings are essential. For further information and to secure your spot at this great event, head to www.midcoastlibraries.com.au/events.
