The club held its annual general meeting on Wednesday, March 20 at Club West where they had representatives from a number of other Probus clubs join them for the election of their incoming officers for the ensuring year.
The incoming committee consists of Kerry Lowe, president; Barbara Rayment, vice president and activities officer; Lyn Laphan, secretary; Beryl Beeton, treasurer; Margaret Marriott, assistant treasurer; Joan Ransom, assistant activities officer; Ivan Ransom, publicity officer; Dennis Marriott, newsletter editor; Allan Richards, programs officer and Bruce Halpin, welfare officer.
Steve Bates handed over the presidency to Kerry.
Ian Woolard of Taree Rotary Club was the returning officer for the election.
A number of members are off to Ballina for an eight day trip. They will leave by train on Wednesday, April 3 where they will enjoy all the scenery around that area and come home again by train on Wednesday, April 10.
They will surely have some great memories and stories to tell.
The club meets at the Chatham Uniting Church hall, starting 10am each third Wednesday of the month.
Visitors are most welcome to come along join for a cup of tea and maybe feel like joining the club for fun, friendship and fellowship.

The Probus Club of Taree North was the third Probus Club to be formed in Taree. It was formed in 1991 after sponsorship from the Rotary Club of Taree.
Probus is a social club with the motto 'fun, friendship and fellowship', and the club holds varied social activities ranging from barbecues, day bus trips and trips spanning several days. Each meeting they have a guest speaker.
