This was a first for the region and was described as extremely successful, with more than 70 girls present from Pacific Palms, Coloongolook, Bungwahl, Krambach,, Nabiac, Landsdowne and Wingham public schools and the Manning Valley Anglican College .
Newcastle Jets W-league stars Libby Copus-Brown and Teigan Collister attended for a kick around with the girls before a question and answer session.
"Football Mid North Coast is committed to developing female participation across our region and this was the first of many steps to increase involvement,'' Football Mid North Coast's female participation officer Jessica Evans said.
"We will also be introducing girls only Mini Roos competitions starting in under sixes/sevens as well as continuing our popular Friday night girls only football.

Open trial for under 16s
FOOTBALL Mid North Coast will conduct an open trial for the under 16 National Premier League (NPL) side on Monday at Wayne Richards Park at Port Macquarie.
This will be for all players interested in joining the squad. Players born in 2003 and 2004 will be eligible.
The trial will start at 5.45 and finish at 7.15. Players should be at the ground by 5.30.
