The fishing club pairs bowls will be held on Saturday, February 23 and will be completed on the day with a new format to be trialled. Names to be put on the list at the club.
Next fishing outing is on March 2 and 3 and their second outing for March will be a camp at Manning Point on March 8, 9 and 10. Names to be put on the list at the club.
Next major seafood raffle will be held on Saturday, February 23 with 10 seafood trays, 10 meat trays and the $40 supporter’s tray.
Bowling club trivia night
The Lansdowne Men’s Bowling Club is holding a trivia night on Saturday evening, March 30 at the Lansdowne Bowling and Recreation Club auditorium.
The evening will commence at 7pm following the fishing club raffle at 6.30pm.
Make up teams of approximate eight to 10 players. Cost will be $2 per participant. It will be a family event with great prizes.
The evening is being held to raise money for the bowling facility, maintenance and improvements.

This is a great opportunity for the whole community to test their knowledge and have some good old-fashioned fun.

Art exhibition
The Lansdowne Community Hall committee is running its first art exhibition over the weekend of May 4 and 5.
The sections for junior and youth are any subject in any medium. The senior art sections are 'local scene' in any medium or style depicting the Manning Valley area, which also incorporates the Great Lakes.
Also, there is a section for equine artists in any medium or style, featuring work with a horse/horses.
Judging will be by people's choice. Size restriction is 80 cm x 80 cm, framed or on stretched canvas ready to hang.
Entries close on Friday, April 19 at 5pm.
Delivery of works to the Lansdowne Community Hall on Wednesday, May 1, 10am to 3pm.
The exhibition opens on Saturday, May 4 from 10am to 4pm through to Sunday, May 5 10am to 3pm. Gold coin donation for viewing. Light refreshments will be available from the hall kitchen.

Football club registration days
The Lansdowne Football Club will be holding two more registration days.
The next will be tomorrow, Saturday, February 16 at the Lansdowne Oval at 9am. The last registration will be Saturday, February 23.
Visiting musicians
The Upper Lansdowne Hall committee has a great selection of artists playing at the hall in the coming months.
During the month of March they will have SON (Susan O'Neill) (Ireland) on March 21 at 7pm, Mànran (Scotland) April 12 at 7pm; Mélisande (Canada) on April 24 at 7pm and 19 Twenty on June 1 (TBC) at 7pm.
These acts all have one thing in common - they're hugely entertaining live performers.
