Dr Keegan and Ms Car visited the TAFE NSW Taree campus to talk about two funding promises by the Labor Party in the lead up to the state election.
Labor announced on the day they will fund free TAFE places for 600,000 courses in key skill shortage areas.
Also announced was a promise for an extra $900 million funding for regional roads maintenance.
“MidCoast Council will be a major beneficiary of this funding given their current estimated backlog on roads,” Dr Keegan said.
