A delegation from Valley Industries travelled from Taree to Sydney on January 22 to present a signed beehive to His Excellency Governor General, the Hon. David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d).
Chief executive officer, Trent Jennison, chairman Mal Shultz, bees business unit supervisor Nigel Powell, chief hive painter Paul Blanch and customer services officer Jackson Crick, toured the house and gardens with the Governor General and his wife, Linda Hurley.
“It’s a day they won’t forget,” said a Valley Industries spokesperson. “The Governor General ordered further hives and equipment, and Trent treated them to lunch with views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.”
