Wingham secured a berth in the decider after Taree West was forced to forfeit in last round clash on Saturday. The previous week Wingham beat United and Wauchope RSL. Macquarie is the leading team from the northern conference.
Wingham and Macquarie were scheduled to meet in the grand final of the Mid North Coast Premier League last season, however, the game was washed out without a ball being bowled. While Wingham is the unbeaten leader in the premier league this summer, Macquarie has struggled and is languishing outside the top four.
United finished the T20 competition with two wins and a loss. Skipper Ricky Campbell won the toss in the last round game against Wauchope at Chatham Park and sent the visitors into bat.
Wauchope managed 8/121 with Sam Whitbread leading the way for United with three wickets.
Campbell then ensured his side would get the points when he smashed 62.
Meanwhile Manning went down to Hastings in the Mid North Coast under 21 inter-district T20 clash at Wauchope. Manning batted first and made 6/122 with opener Blake Thompson scoring 52 while Tom Burley made 33.
Hastings lost five wickets in the run chase.
