A 66-year-old man drowned at Boomerang Beach this afternoon.

The man was pulled from the water at about 1.20pm by Surf Live Saving NSW lifesavers.
The man was unresponsive to CPR and was later pronounced dead.
Paramedics and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were called to the site.
Paramedics said the man was swimming between the flags.
The incident is under investigation and has been referred to the Coroner.
