Lachlan Valley Railway, a non-for-profit organisation that preserves and runs heritage trains around regional NSW, will be in the Taree and Gloucester area from Saturday, January 19 to Monday, January 21 running a heritage train shuttles for the local community to enjoy.
LVR invites passengers to come aboard their historic 1920s "Tin Hare" Railmotors for a weekend of heritage train rides from Taree and Gloucester stations.
The “Taree Rattler” has two destinations, Mount George and Johns River.
The Mount George shuttle departs Taree railway station on Saturday at 10.10am and 1.55pm and on Sunday at 10.10am and 2pm.
The Johns River shuttle departs Taree on Saturday at 12.15pm and 3.30pm and on Sunday at 12.10pm and 3.50pm.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for children. Bookings are via the Lachland Valley Railway website of phone 6342 4999.
