Jarrad, from Taree, entered his car in the 2019 Summernats event in Canberra and walked away with the elite body award. 

His car, known as ‘MR GPAK’, was one of 60 finalists from more than 2000 entries.

Jarrad said he didn’t have high expectations for a top result at the event but was thrilled to take out the title.

“I’m quite humbled, just to get in there was an achievement,” Jarrad said.

The result meant a spot in the grand championship.

He was eliminated in the first round of judging but still reached the top 18. 

Not a bad result for his first pilgrimage to the Mecca of Australian muscle cars. 

Judges at the event told Jarrad the field of cars at the event was the “best in years”. 

Hours upon hours of labour and love into modifying his car into its current prime condition was all worth it.

From leather interior direct from Italy to restored and custom built parts and a glistening red finish, Jarrad’s car is to be marveled at. 

“It took five years to build, a lot of late nights, blood, sweat and tears.

“It’s my second wife so to speak,” he laughed.

Jarrad has plans to enter his car in local shows in 2019.
