Round 6 is hosted by Taree Old Bar SLSC this Saturday, January 19.
Racing starts at 9am and features the hotly contested open men's and women's divisions as well as juniors and masters battling it out on the open ocean course.
Barbecue and drinks will be available throughout the day, with the surf club bar open later in the day offering an excellent vantage point to watch the final events or just take in the ocean waves.
Heartfit classes start Monday
Contrary to my advice is last week's Manning River Times, the Heartfit program, which has been running for some years now, recommences at Banyula Village, did not commence last Monday. It will in fact commence next Monday, January 21 at 4pm and then every Monday throughout the year.
Heartfit is a gentle exercise program suitable for anyone – regardless of fitness level - delivered by an accredited exercise professional, Michelle Georgiou.
Start the new year with a more active lifestyle. Join the Heartfit classes. Friends from outside the village, men and women, have been attending and now make up the majority of the participants. You will always be most welcome to join the classes at the centre.
