The move was arranged through Wesley’s manager Gavin Orr and St Helens head coach Justin Holbrook.
Wesley, 19, a Red Rovers junior, played Harold Mathews and SG Ball with the Newcastle Knights before taking a year off to concentrate on university studies. He also played some first grade with Wingham Tigers and Old Bar Pirates in Group Three. A utility back, Wesley was also a member of Taree City’s premiership winning under 18 team in 2016.
He leaves for the north of England on January 21 and is looking forward to playing in England.
