As was the case for the inaugural event last year, boats will leave Wingham around 10am and return at 3pm following lunch at Manning Point.
“The boats will be on display at 9am – that’ll be the show – before we leave at 10am – that’s the go,’’ Jeff explained.
He said the event has been promoted extensively on Facebook by various speedboat groups and the response has been positive.
“I couldn’t put a figure on how many boats we might get this time, but we had 14 last year so I’d expect to get at least that many,’’ Jeff said.
He said the weather forecast is ‘perfect’ for Saturday.
“It can get a bit windy at Manning Point in the afternoon, so that’ll determine when we leave. But we will be home in the early afternoon,’’ he added.
He expects a number of starters will camp overnight at Wingham.
